Latiesha Jones, a 22-year-old from Manchester, England, had big dreams of becoming a doctor. She was studying biomedical science in university and working part-time at Tesco, a supermarket, to pay her bills. But her life changed when she stumbled into an unusual way to make money—selling her spit online. What started as a random idea turned into a full-time job that paid her thousands of dollars a week, letting her quit both her job and school.

Latiesha’s story began when she was struggling with money. She had an $11,000 debt and couldn’t keep up with university costs, even with her Tesco job. To earn extra cash, she joined OnlyFans, a website where people sell photos and videos. There, she got strange requests, like someone asking for water from her shower. Curious, she looked into it and found a market for selling bodily fluids and used items. One day, a person asked to buy a jar of her spit. She thought it was a joke, but when they paid her £300 (about $370), she realized it was real—and easy.

From there, her business took off. Latiesha started selling her spit a few times a week, charging between £100 (about $123) and £1,500 (about $1,850) per bottle, depending on what the buyer could pay. The most she ever made from one sale was £1,500, from a rich customer happy to splash the cash. She also sold other things, like sweaty gym clothes, used bedsheets, bathwater, and even toothpaste spit. She said, “Anything you can think of, people want it.” This brought in £3,000 to £5,000 (about $3,700 to $6,200) every week.
