Demi and Ashton ended their six-year marriage in 2011.
However, the details of their split came into media spotlight in 2019 when Demi released her memoir Inside Out.
The ‘Blind’ star claimed that Kutcher cheated on her multiple times.
According to Demi, Ashton used the coulple’s own sex life to justify his cheating.
The Ghost diva wrote that on a few occasions she did agree to invite a third person into their bedroom to prove to her younger husband that she was fun in bed.
However. soon after Demi realised that it was a major mistake as Kutcher used those few intances to sleep with other women.
In Inside Out, Moore wrote thats she prioritised Ashton over herself while being married to him. She said, “I put him first. So when he expressed his fantasy of bringing a third person into our bed, I didn’t say no.”
Moore said that the threesomes were a mistake. She wrote, “I was strangely flooded with shame.”
Moore claimed that Kutcher cheated on her while she was shooting for ‘Another Happy Day’ in 2011. The Songbird diva wrote further that Kutcher “admitted it right away” after being confronted.
Demi started drinking alchohol again due to her messy relationship after being sober for nearly 20 years.
She also suffered a miscarriage that also impacted their relationship. “I couldn’t get pregnant again, the guilt that I felt was just enormous.”
Kutcher opened up about his split in an interview with Esquire, “Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce”.
Moore and Kutcher announced their breakup in 2011. “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,” she wrote in a statement published by People.
As for Kutcher, he said, “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.”
Kutcher is now married to actress Mila Kunis.
