Born in San Pedro, California, in 1963, Tuiasosopo initially pursued a career in football, playing for the Los Angeles Rams’ replacement team during the 1987 season. Transitioning to acting, he made his film debut in 1991 as Manumana in Necessary Roughness. He gained further recognition portraying E. Honda in the 1994 live-action adaptation of Street Fighter.
