Let’s dive into the most horrifying, disturbing facts that ruined my day—and might ruin yours too.

Saritha Ramaraju

Last month, a woman, Saritha Ramaraju, slit her 11-year-old son Yatin’s throat at a motel in Santa Ana, California, after going on a three-day trip with him at Disneyland during a custody visit. It is believed the boy had already been dead for several hours before she called 911, and when police arrived, they found him dead on the motel room’s bed among Disneyland souvenirs. According to the Orange County DA’s office, “On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the day Ramaraju was scheduled to check out of the motel and return the boy to his father, Ramaraju called 911 at 9:12 a.m. to report that she had killed her 11-year-old son and had taken pills trying to kill herself. Santa Ana police arrived at the motel and arrested Ramaraju on suspicion of murder. A large kitchen knife was found inside the motel room, which had been purchased the day before.”

Died

A motorcyclist died after falling into a massive sinkhole that appeared on a street in Seoul on March 24, 2025. The sinkhole, which was approximately 65 feet wide and deep, opened up during rush hour, swallowing the motorcyclist and injuring a woman whose van was passing over the site at the same time. The motorcyclist’s body was found the next morning, still wearing his helmet and motorcycle boots.

Massive Sinkhole In Yashio, Japan

Speaking of sinkholes, in January this year, a massive sinkhole in Yashio, Japan, “swallowed” a truck and its 74-year-old driver. The hole, initially about 33 feet wide and 20 feet deep, was believed to have been caused by a rupture in an underground sewer pipe, leading to the road’s collapse. During rescue efforts, the sinkhole expanded to 130 feet wide, revealing leaking sewage and gas lines, leading to hundreds of households being evacuated. Sadly, after two weeks, rescuers lost contact with the driver, and he was never found.
