A 19-year-old woman named Mellodie-Ocean Jarman was excited to become a mother for the first time. She was expecting a baby girl and had been feeling fine throughout her pregnancy.
On January 31, Mellodie-Ocean was on her way to a regular check-up when she suddenly felt dizzy and weak. She went to the hospital, where doctors gave her some medicine and sent her home, thinking everything was okay.

Later that night, things got much worse. Mellodie-Ocean started having trouble breathing and couldn’t see properly. She collapsed into her mother’s arms while waiting for an ambulance. Paramedics arrived quickly and rushed her to the hospital.
At the hospital, doctors realized they needed to perform emergency surgery to deliver her baby right away. Mellodie-Ocean’s daughter, Athena-Pearl, was born seven weeks early. Sadly, Mellodie-Ocean passed away shortly after the surgery.
