David, a former scaffolder from Skye, Scotland, and his fiancée Ayla, a glamorous model, have shared their story ahead of their upcoming wedding. The pair met in 2022 through Instagram, and their connection was immediate. Six months after their initial conversations, they moved in together.
David, who knew Ayla was transgender from the outset, has always seen her for who she is, a woman. Despite facing judgment from others, David has never been bothered by her gender identity. He firmly believes that his attraction to her is no different than any other man’s attraction to a woman.
“It was never anything to me; I only ever saw her as a woman, and that is that,” David shared. “Did I ever think I would date a trans person? No, because a woman is a woman to me. No one has ever suggested I was gay, not to my face anyway. I’m not attracted to men; I am attracted to women, and she is a woman, and that’s it. I am a straight guy.”
While David remains confident about their future together, Ayla sometimes worries, fearing that David may one day find their life “too much.” Despite these concerns, David is optimistic, believing they will settle down and even start a family.
David has quit his job as a scaffolder to join Ayla in creating adult content on her OnlyFans account. “She used to make solo adult content, and now we are doing it together. It gave us more flexibility, more time together, more of a life,” David explained. Ayla added, “We look good together too, so why not?”

Ayla, who describes herself as a ‘trans Barbie,’ recently had a breast enhancement procedure, increasing her bust size to a 32JJ. She explained that this decision was driven by her childhood attraction to the “plastic” look and her desire to feel like a real-life Barbie. “I’ve always been drawn to the plastic look,” she said. For Ayla, her transition surgery was a life-changing experience, but she emphasized that it didn’t alter who she is.
“I began my transition socially at 24 and surgically at 26. Before that, I had performed in drag for a few years,” Ayla recalled. “A guy I didn’t know once approached me and said, ‘You should transition, you’d be so much happier.’ The next day, I didn’t take off the drag. That was it for me.”
Despite the love and joy they share, the couple has faced criticism, including from Ayla’s family. “I was so happy to be in a normal relationship, but it’s not met with the same excitement from my family. Everything was suspicious, like ‘he’s trying to use you to get into the industry you’re in,’” Ayla shared. In contrast, David’s family has been supportive and positive about their relationship, and he has never faced negative comments from anyone.

Their story has parallels to another couple, Jesse Schwenker, 29, from Florida, and his transgender girlfriend Cassidy Cauley, 25. Jesse, who had grown up with traditional views of love, found himself questioning those beliefs after meeting Cassidy online. The couple’s whirlwind romance led them to meet just one week after starting to message each other. Despite initial concerns about how their relationship would be received, Jesse now advocates for acceptance and love, regardless of gender or past.
Jesse explained, “There is not one word or one sentence that you could possibly put together that would actually hurt me or my girlfriend. All of the negative comments are the reason we are such a strong couple today. I embrace who I date, and no one can take that away from me or her.”
Jesse and Cassidy’s story, like David and Ayla’s, serves as a powerful reminder that love knows no boundaries. “Our main message is that love has no boundaries, and anybody can love anyone—it shouldn’t matter who they are or their past.”
David and Ayla’s relationship, built on mutual respect, love, and defiance of societal judgment, is a testament to the power of being true to oneself and finding acceptance in each other, no matter the challenges they face.
