While the lives of the celebrities seems perfect and idyllic, it’s not as picture-perfect as it may seem for a far. In fact, many A-listers have been jailed for serious crimes.

Here’s a list of famous celebrities, who were jailed for committing crimes:

Justin Bieber

Justin was arrested for driving under the influence and drag racing in Miami.

The Sorry crooner told police that he had been smoking marijuana and had taken prescription medication.

Bieber was charged with DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a valid driver’s license, leading to a 24-hour sentence in jail.

Justin then made a $50,000 donation to a youth charity along with committing to 12 hours of anger-management counseling.

He also accepted to attend a program about the impact of drunken driving on victims. The DUI charge was hence dropped.

Khloe Kardashian

In 2008, Khloe was arrested for a DUI, which we all saw on her reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kardashian was ordered to take an alcohol education class.

Khloe violated her probation by missing classes and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

However since the prison was overcrowded so the reality television star spent just three hours in custody before she got released.

Nicki Minaj

Before becoming a singing sensation, Minaj was arrested by NYPD in 2003 while working as a waitress at Red Lobster for possession of a weapon with intent to use.

Bruno Mars

The Just The Way You Are star was arrested in the year 2010 in Las Vegas.

Mars was found with a bag of cocaine in a bathroom at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Bruno confessed in an interview six years later, “I was a young man! I was in Vegas. I wasn’t thinking.”

The charges were later dismissed.

Paris Hilton

After a slew of traffic violations in 2007, Paris was sentenced to forty five days in a women’s prison cell.

Hilton then served half of her sentence only as she was released for her good behavior and overcrowding.

Michael Jackson

Mike Tyson

In the year 1992, Mike’s boxing career came to a halt after being convicted of the rape of an 18-year-old in Indiana.

He was sentenced to six years in jail.

Mike however maintained that the incident was consensual.

He was released in 1995, almost half half way through of his sentence.

Robert Downey Jr.
